How to sell more rooms

5 ways to boost room sales as a hotel manager in Ghana

If you are a hotel manager in Ghana, below are a list of ways to boost room sales and expose yourself to numerous potential customers.

  1. Hire a professional photographer to take quality high-resolution pictures of your property. Makes sure every area of your facility is covered especially the places that add an extra value to the property for e.g. swimming pool, beach, river/lake, interesting natural formation or picturesque scenery.
  2. Be VERY LOUD on social media – Spend a lot of time promoting your property on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. You can occasionally boost(pay to advertise on social media) your property for as little as 5 or 10 dollars. This goes a long way to help put your property out there in front of thousands of potential guests.
  3. This may sound strange, but consider outsourcing your front desk operations. We receive several complaints from customers about various properties booked on our platform and a substantial percentage has to do with front desk customer service/telephone etiquette.
  4. Speaking of telephone etiquette, train your front desk personnel on how to talk on the phone!
  5. Prioritize Housekeeping in your property – a guest may find your rates high, find your location too far or even not like your staff’s attitude, but the number 1 thing that is sure to put off any guest and prevent them from coming again is a dirty or untidy room. Its an absolute turn-off for any guest.

If you work as a manager in a hotel, we hope the steps outlined above would be put into use to make your property stand out among your competitors.
